Our client is a fast growing, global provider of multimedia messaging software and value based services. With offices in London, New York, Paris and San Francisco this is a global business in a fast paced industry.

Role Summary

The Sales and Product Training Specialist will be expected to develop and deliver a sales training strategy for the ongoing development of a senior global sales team.  The role will involve the implementation of a learning culture to improve and facilitate the ongoing training relating to new products, services and markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Business Development, Product Development and Marketing departments to identify key training needs, and manage the development of appropriate training programs tied to key business objectives.
  • Raise the proficiency and knowledge of the sales team by ensuring they become knowledgeable about the growing range of products, services and market environment.
  • Work closely with Product Development & Innovation departments on pending introductions of new products to ensure current and effective training programs for sales personnel
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to keep the sales force informed and trained on competitive products, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Incorporate and report feedback from all sales personnel, assessing their client’s needs, competitor strategies, preferred products, etc.
  • Design, develop and deliver training events globally (English Language)
  • To develop subject matter expert status

Experience Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-5 years sales training/training manager experience required
  • Preferred experience in sales; sales management
  • Business knowledge that includes understanding external forces; market opportunities; industry and competitive forces; organizational capabilities; business direction, goals, priorities and action plans; financial management and results; operations management
  • preferred technology background
  • Strong communication/public speaking and presentation skills
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English
