The advantages of specialist recruitment

According to this free white paper, mainstream recruitment companies are letting their customers down – while specialist ‘niche’ recruitment providers are delivering a better service.

According to research, the majority of companies are dissatisfied with the service provided by mainstream recruitment companies. In CIPD’s 2007 ‘Recruitment, Retention and Turnover’ survey, 84% of companies had experienced difficulties with recruitment companies. Worse, fewer than 50% of recruitment companies are putting forward suitable candidates for interview – leading to dissatisfaction, wasted time and disappointment.

In our white paper, ‘Finding the right job; finding the right person’, we examine the reasons for this – and show why mainstream, generalist recruitment companies do not provide the best recruitment solution within specialist markets such as training and e-learning.

Key findings:

  • Organisations feel that mainstream recruitment companies put forward unsuitable candidates more than half of the time
  • Almost half of recruitment agencies are more interested in ‘making a sale’ than finding the right candidate
  • Nearly all companies believe that the quality of the candidate is the top requirement when selecting a recruitment company

Niche recruitment companies, such as Blue Eskimo, are shown to deliver better results and value – mainly due to their market focus and ability to know their clients’ needs in depth.
