Retained recruitment

Blue Eskimo’s retained recruitment service ensures that candidate hunting is given the highest amount of focus.

There are typically two ways of working with Blue Eskimo: contingent recruitment and retained recruitment.

What is retained recruitment?

With Blue Eskimo's retained recruitment service, the client pays as the service progresses, with part of the fee being paid in advance. This typically breaks down as:

  • one third of the fee paid in advance
  • one third of the fee paid on shortlisting
  • one third of the fee paid on commencement

Advantages of retained recruitment

There are two key advantages to this approach. First, the costs of recruitment are spread naturally across the timescales of the recruitment process. Second, we are able to give this search the highest priority.

This approach is most typically taken where there is an important role to fill - one that is possibly time-sensitive or perhaps a key management role.

The alternative approach, contingent recruitment, allows the client to pay once the recruitment service is complete.

Working with the Learning & Performance Institute
Blue Eskimo enjoys a unique relationship with the Learning & Performance Institute, as its nominated recruitment provider. And, as a company that’s accredited by the LPI, we operate within its guidelines and uphold its standards.
