Business Development Manager - E-Learning

Our client is a provider of bespoke and tailored blended learning and e-learning solutions, typically to large, multinational organisations. As a result of expansion it is now seeking a sales professional with a successful track record of selling bespoke e-learning and/or training to the Corporate sectors to senior decision maker level.

This is a home based, new business focused role with annual personal target of circa £400K-£500K and would therefore suit a ‘hunter’ adept at working autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

  • To achieve and exceed annual personal sales revenue targets in line with company objectives
  • Consultative sales of e-learning, training and blended learning programmes
  • New business focused approach
  • Develop and manage key relationships within new clients to vary levels including senior/board level
  • Reporting an accurate sales pipeline and forecast
  • Working with E-learning design and production team when appropriate
  • Source effective solutions to clients needs whether in-house or externally
  • To work as part of the Sales and Marketing team, contributing to the overall growth and success by sharing ideas and collaborating on major bids
  • Source, identify, close new business opportunities relevant to stated business lines
  • Network effectively in key vertical markets to build the company's profile
  • Conduct research to ensure current knowledge on market, competitors etc. Develop high quality responses to tenders, bids and proposals
  • Contribute to team meetings
  • Work with other stakeholders within the company for common interests and commercial success

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven track record of success selling bespoke and tailored e-learning, training and blended learning solutions
  • Currently selling all or some of the above solutions to the corporate sector (e.g.  Finance, IT, Pharmaceuticals, Retail etc.)
  • Proven new business, results focused sales 'hunter'
  • Consistent achievement of personal sales targets (minimum of £400K per annum)
  • Effective at dealing with senior decision makers and complex sales cycles
  • High level of commercial acumen, able to take a 'profit based' approached to sales
  • Strong and proven industry networking credentials
  • Confident and tenacious with strong industry knowledge
  • A proven self-starter, able to work well autonomously
  • Ambitious and money motivated
  • Effective at presenting to senior level
