Our highly regarded blue chip client has a superb opportunity for a Learning Technologies Consultant who will provide functional expertise for this client’s global Learning Management System (LMS) to enable the effective delivery of both support and development activity. This opportunity can be based in either the South East or Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To achieve an in depth understanding of the functional capabilities of the LMS and associated interfaces and assist in the creation and maintenance of the activity pipeline.
  • To quickly gain understanding of system upgrades or module enhancements, their business impact and how they fit into the LMS systems environment.
  • To collaborate wih the Learning Techologies Consultant and key stakeholders to facilitate a co-ordinated pipeline of activity for releases, upgrades and enhancements and to ensure that the organisation is gaining maximum value from their learning systems.
  • To keep abreast with the latest learning systems capability in the market that could be applied in the organisation.
  • To manage the process and develop the  full range of documentation to support the meeting of business requirements including fit/gap analysis, data mapping, functional specifications and test packs.
  • To create administer test processes and update the materials in line with defined quality guidelines.
  • To assist end users in the analysis of queries that are of high complexity, e.g. report design and complex functional issues and requirements that can not be achieve locally.
  • To maintain the organisation's Live site (online tool for collaboration and sharing of information) for the HR Systems team, including LMS.  Also, to provide updates and information to the site used by the LMS super users.
  • To assist in the Business Technology team in the creation of  Online Learning topics (Oracle User Productivity Kit).

Candidate Skills & Experience

 

  • Graduate level with demonstrable experience in a systems environment, preferrably relating to learning technologies and/or in a global organisation.
  • Evidence of involvement in system related projects with additional experience of developing supporting processes.
  • Methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solving with a high attention to detail and a strong desire to complete tasks on time.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills, including a collaborative working style and the ability to engage and recommend to all levels of management.
  • Exceptional IT literacy and ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of new technology.
  • Demonstrable experience of system implementations or upgrades.
  • Previously knowledge of Learning Management Systems and/or web technologies would be an advantage.
