Senior Business Development Manager

£45K-£55K basic salary + £80K-£90K OTE

Excellent career opportunity for an ambitious sales professional with management experience to sell to both UK based and international companies. You will possess an accomplished track record in business development, selling digital solutions to senior decision makers such as Heads of L&D, Chief Learning Officers (CLO’s). The role is new business focused with the intention to create a team in the near future.

Key responsibilities

  • Undertake business development and lead generation duties to grow digital sales
  • Develop your own territory both within the UK and globally
  • Confidently sell Saas and digital learning solutions to C-suite clients
  • Be involved in the creation and execution of digital sales strategy
  • Hit monthly, quarterly and yearly individual sales targets (c£500k)
  • Work with CEO on account plans and growth strategies
  • Be prepared to build a scalable team around you in future months who are fully able to meet and exceed sales targets


  • Any sales training qualifications are desirable


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent is desirable


  • At least 5 years’ experience selling digital learning solutions
  • Outstanding knowledge of the L&D/elearning sector and an interest in keeping up to date with developments
  • Experience managing a small sales team, mentoring and ensuring team targets are hit
  • Demonstrable experience hitting individual sales targets – (c£500k)
  • Tenacious personality with a real passion and drive for speaking with the right people
  • Experience selling SAAS is an advantage
  • 3 years management experience is an advantage
  • Experience selling solutions globally is an advantage

  • Great time management and organisational skills
  • Fantastic persuasion skills
