Head of Learning Design

Working with a global provider of high-quality SaaS solutions, we’re looking for a Head of Learning Design who will focus on creative, cost-effective, scalable training solutions for internal and external audiences.

You will hold responsibility for all aspects of the learning life-cycle including budget and resource management, reporting and development of programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to curate knowledge and create learning collateral for internal and external stakeholders
  • Source, create and manage the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Integrate learning success measures to leverage insights for continuous improvements and support business KPIs
  • Coach others on impactful education experiences that are customer focussed
  • Design and implement inspiring, innovative, world-class training and development experiences
  • Increase team effectiveness and customer impact
  • Keep abreast of new trends and tools in SaaS products and user adoption


  • Relevant qualifications desirable


  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline – MBA advantageous


  • Extensive experience in Learning and Development in a high growth, technical or start-up environment
  • Experience designing and delivering innovative impactful learning solutions
  • Previous experience delivering presentations, a strong public speaker comfortable in front of large senior groups


  • Deep understanding of adult learning theory, principles of communication and training delivery methods
  • Strategic agility with exceptional collaboration and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills to establish learning measurements and tie these to business KPIs
  • Excellent proven people management skills to interact with cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Adept at working under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Passionate about learning technology, designing creative and innovative solutions
  • Excellent rapport building skills
