A unique opportunity exists with our client, an international provider of specialist training and events. Seeking to take a significant step forward in the EMEA region our client is looking for a leader with strong management credentials to drive the business forward and execute a strategy for growth. The successful candidate will be sales and marketing savvy, perhaps coming up through the sales and marketing route. Confident in leading a team you will be a business manager with a desire to take a strong existing business to the next level.

Key responsibilites

  • Develop a coordinated and strategic sales, marketing and service offering
  • Develop personnel to ensure a highly motivated and effective team
  • Promote a sales-driven and commercial approach among all employees
  • Ensure that sales process is followed, achieving revenue growth and profit objectives
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure a coherent, economic and effective sales marketing campaign, using all possible appropriate media and relationships
  • Full accountability for the company’s operating budget (P&L)
  • Provide the leadership necessary to promote organisational development
  • Liaise with and report to international peers

Qualifications

  • No specific qualifications required

Education

  • Degree education or equivalent preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a business or business unit or equivalent
  • Experience of the training or learning and development sector
  • Proven commercial acumen being sales and profit focused
  • Experience with sales and P&L responsibility

Skills

  • Must possess proven leadership qualities
  • Ambitious and keen to improve
  • Excellent organisational abilities and be able to deal effectively with people
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
