Technical Lead – Learning Technologies

We’re working exclusively with an exciting not for profit in Brighton who are looking for a Technical Lead to develop innovative solution focussed products.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a key member of the product development team working with the learning design / instructional design team to identify technical solutions for products
  • Liaise between the business development and technical development teams on key product developments
  • Ensure technical resources are aligned to meet deliverables and timescales
  • Enable agile insight-based product development supporting customers
  • Gather market insight and user requirements to support the development of products
  • Create robust testing frameworks
  • Liaise with key IT system suppliers and keep abreast of their developments to ensure integration of product continues to run smoothly
  • Define the quality assurance for new products and create robust project plans


  • Project management qualifications are desirable but not essential


  • A solid understanding of innovation processes
  • Aware of technologies, systems and suppliers in the healthcare provision


  • Previous experience in a Learning Technologies environment is essential
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous
  • Experience using digital platforms to support product development
  • Experience delivering technical solutions to meet the requirements of service users


  • Able to work across teams to plan resources and priorities
  • Able to build excellent UX/UI into the development of products
  • Understanding of the web ‘technology stack’ that underpins product development
  • Able to shape technical requirements of new products
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Lean Start-up development and project management methodologies
  • A problem solver with a ‘can-do’ attitude
