Key Account Manager

£55K-£65K Basic + £80K-£90K OTE

Do you possess a proven track record of success selling L&D solutions to global IT vendors? Can you profile and navigate complex client accounts with multiple contacts in many different countries?

If so, this is a superb opportunity to grow your skills, proactively developing and growing new business and increasing spend within a small number of existing, key clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively manage a small number of key clients to achieve increased account spend and revenue growth
  • Achieve and exceed set revenue and profit targets
  • Work strategically within both direct clients and channel partners to help shape and sell tailored training and virtual classroom programmes
  • Ensure the profitability of training programmes sold
  • Identify new revenue streams within both existing clients and new logo accounts
  • Identify new contacts at multiple levels within both existing and new clients
  • Develop and strengthen relationships to ensure long term success
  • Collaborate with trainers, consultants and other colleagues to ensure client expectations are met and surpassed
  • Build sales pipeline and forecast sales in a timely and accurate manner
  • Utilise consultative selling skills and rapport building skills to gain traction in both new and existing clients
  • Create compelling, engaging and commercially viable sales proposals


  • Relevant qualifications desirable


  • Educated in relevant field


  • Significant experience selling to and knowledge of the IT vendor sector
  • A minimum of two years’ experience selling training, L&D or related solutions
  • Demonstrable achievement hitting sales targets (Minimum £500K per annum)


  • Proven success profitably growing complex accounts within the IT sector
  • A proactive and consultative approach to growing accounts and gaining new business
  • Adept at writing compelling sales proposals
