Learning Consultant (Practitioner)

£40K-£60K Basic Salary + Benefits

This is an opportunity to join a growing learning consultancy, delivering high-impact people development solutions to a diverse client base. As a Learning Consultant, youll work directly with clients to diagnose development needs, design tailored learning solutions, and deliver engaging, immersive programmes. Youll operate as a trusted partner to mid to senior stakeholders (clients) , with real ownership over client relationships and delivery quality. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and client-facing work, while still valuing collaboration and professional development within a supportive consulting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients to diagnose learning and performance challenges
  • Design tailored, immersive learning solutions aligned to client context and objectives
  • Deliver learning interventions across workshops, programmes, and facilitated sessions
  • Bring external perspective, challenge, and fresh thinking to client conversations
  • Work confidently with mid-management through to Director-level audiences
  • Own and manage a portfolio of 5–10 client engagements
  • Build trusted client relationships and act as a primary point of contact
  • Support the growth of existing client accounts with guidance from senior colleagues
  • Manage elements of client engagements including scoping, planning, and delivery
  • Apply strong project management fundamentals to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver a consistent client experience

Skills

  • Strong consulting and facilitation capability
  • Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating with internal teams
  • Excellent visual storytelling skills (PowerPoint, Canva, or similar)
  • Polished and professional presence with senior client groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  •  Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting to client needs

Experience

  • Experience working in a learning consultancy, training provider, or client-facing LD role
  • Experience working with external clients preferred
  • Exposure to senior or Director-level stakeholders
  • Experience designing and delivering tailored learning solutions
  • Understanding of learning delivery fundamentals
  • Interest in developing commercial awareness within a consulting environment

Education

  • A background in Learning Development, Consulting, Organisational Development, or a related discipline
