An exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on Learning & Development Manager to lead the design and implementation of a global education and training strategy. This role will define the companys learning roadmap, aligning it with business goals to drive performance, innovation, and growth across internal teams and external partners. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end learning ecosystem, from onboarding design to digital learning development, ensuring consistent, impactful learning experiences worldwide.This role can be worked remotely with travel up to 40 of the time across Europe and occasional travel to the US.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a global learning and development strategy aligned with business objectives and company culture.
  • Translate business challenges into scalable learning solutions that drive engagement, capability, and retention.
  • Design and implement a best-in-class onboarding experience for employees and external stakeholders, embedding continuous learning throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Review, challenge, and enhance onboarding practices across the organisation to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Marketing, and R&D to identify skills gaps and create training programmes that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Establish KPIs and success metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives and demonstrate ROI.
  • Lead global scalability of programmes, adapting content and delivery to meet regional needs while maintaining high standards.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training, supported by the design and development of engaging e-learning modules and multimedia content.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training materials are accurate, relevant, and optimised for learning effectiveness.

Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to connect learning initiatives to business outcomes.
  • Expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and modern learning technologies.
  • Proficient in digital learning development, including authoring tools and multimedia design.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills across diverse teams and geographies.
  • Data-driven approach with experience using analytics to measure and refine learning impact.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in strategic Learning Development roles, with a proven record of designing and executing global training strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing or scaling LD functions within complex, fast-paced organisations.
  • Background in change management, organisational development, andor digital transformation.
  • Experience working within life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience delivering both instructor-led and digital learning solutions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40 globally.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Learning Development, Education, Organisational Psychology, or a related field is desirable
  • Formal training in instructional design, digital learning, or similar disciplines is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English additional European languages a plus.
