IBM Maximo Trainer

Our client is looking for a skilled IBM Maximo Trainer to support a major enterprise system implementation. This is a six-month contract role focused on designing and delivering engaging, effective training to support user adoption of IBM Maximo. The role is ideal for someone with experience in IT systems training, particularly in asset management or facilities management platforms and strong stakeholder management skills.Our client will consider a 6 month Fixed-Term-Contract on a PAYE basis or a freelancer on a day rate contract.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver high-quality training solutions that support user adoption of IBM Maximo
  • Develop a range of training materials including lesson plans, user guides, and presentations
  • Deliver virtual and/or face-to-face training sessions as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the project team and client stakeholders to ensure training is aligned to business needs
  • Provide regular updates, progress reports, and feedback to internal teams and clients
  • Contribute to project resourcing discussions by sharing insight on current and upcoming learning needs

Skills

  • Strong instructional design expertise, including blended and digital learning approaches
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in-person and remotely
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders and end-users
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Collaborative and solutions-focused mindset

Experience

  • Proven experience delivering IT system training in enterprise environments
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM Maximo or similar platforms
  • Experience developing end-user documentation and training materials
  • Previous involvement in change or transformation projects, ideally in a consultancy or client-facing role

Education

  • Relevant qualifications in instructional design, training delivery, or education desirable but not essential
  • Certification in relevant software or platforms is a plus e.g., IBM Maximo or similar asset management systems
