Digital Learning Designer

£45K-£50K Basic Salary

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global professional services organisation, designing digital learning experiences that reach thousands of people, globally.Youll sit within a specialist digital design team, partnering closely with learning designers to create high-impact, visually engaging digital learning solutions. The work is varied, meaningful and highly visible, covering everything from leadership and professional skills to compliance, inclusion and business change.If youre a Digital Learning Designer who enjoys combining creativity, and user-centred design, this role offers real scope to grow your skills, influence learning strategy, and see your work make a genuine difference.This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days in London.

Responsibilities

  • Translate learning briefs into engaging digital learning solutions, working closely with learning designers, SMEs and stakeholders
  • Take ownership of projects from discovery and research through to design, build and delivery
  • Apply human-centred design and UX principles to create intuitive, impactful learning experiences
  • Design and build interactive digital learning using tools such as Elucidat, Articulate Rise and Storyline
  • Create high-quality multimedia assets including graphics, infographics, animation and video, utilising Adobe CC Suite and Synthaesia
  • Support research activities including end-user interviews, SME input and stakeholder discovery
  • Storyboard, structure and refine content to ensure clarity, accessibility and learner engagement
  • Confidently review and challenge content, making recommendations to improve learning effectiveness
  • Build internal digital experiences (including SharePoint sites) where required
  • Design with a global, culturally diverse audience in mind, embedding inclusive and accessible design throughout
  • Stay up to date with digital learning, UX and design trends and share best practice with the wider team

Skills

  • Strong graphic design and multimedia production skills
  • Confident use of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience with digital learning authoring tools (e.g. Elucidat, Articulate 360, Adapt, Evolve, GoMo)
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and design thinking
  • Clear, user-focused copywriting and storytelling ability
  • Strong stakeholder communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid, collaborative environment

Experience

  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience designing digital learning content for varied audiences
  • Experience working with SMEs to shape and refine content
  • Experience creating animation, video or AI video tools e.g. Synthesia
  • Experience designing for global or cross-cultural audiences is highly valued

Education

  • A qualification in digital design, multimedia, learning design, UX, or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience

(Co-)Designing and developing learning experiences and solutions that include appropriate formal and informal learning solutions, resources and performance support, ensuring that business, performance and learner requirements are met.
