Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Assessor and IQA team, ensuring high standards of delivery across all assessment activities
- Oversee and implement internal quality assurance strategies across multiple qualification pathways
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, awarding organisation requirements and external quality assurance standards
- Plan and manage sampling, auditing and monitoring activities to maintain consistency and reliability in assessment decisions
- Drive standardisation activities to ensure alignment across assessors, IQAs and trainers
- Monitor team performance against KPIs, providing coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and awarding organisations to develop and improve assessment materials
- Act as Lead IQA, observing assessor practice and supporting continuous improvement
- Represent the organisation with external stakeholders and maintain up-to-date industry knowledge through CPD

Experience
- 8-10 years experience within a relevant safety-focused industry
- Proven experience leading or developing high-performing teams
- Background in training, education or assessment environments
- Experience overseeing learner journeys and assessment lifecycles
- Experience working within regulated or standards-driven frameworks
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
- Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Education
- Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning
- Level 3 qualification in Assessing
- Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance or equivalent
