Digital Learning Designer (6 Month FTC)

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an award-winning education provider. You’ll play a key role in designing and developing engaging, high-quality digital learning experiences that support professionals throughout their careers. Working closely with subject matter experts, you’ll shape innovative content that makes a real impact on practice and professional development. This role focuses on collaboration with SMES, instructional design, and content development. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role can be worked remotely with travel into London 1-2 times a month.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design, develop, test and evaluate interactive digital learning resources
  • Develop storyboards and scripts, offering creative and technical input to enhance learning outcomes
  • Develop engaging digital learning content using Articulate Storyline, Claude Design, Synthesia and Mitie
  • Ensure all content meets agreed quality, timelines and budget expectations
  • Recommend improvements to learning solutions and contribute new ideas to enhance digital learning approaches
  • Champion best practice in instructional design, accessibility and user experience
  • Ensure all learning materials align with brand, accessibility and compliance standards
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in an agile working environment
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, keeping projects on track and escalating risks where needed

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience designing and developing high-quality digital learning
  • Experience working with subject matter experts
  • Hands-on experience with digital learning tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Rise 360 or similar)
  • Experience creating engaging visual learning assets across multiple formats
  • Proficiency with AI Design tools, such as Claude Design and Synthesia (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of instructional design theories

Education

  • Relevant qualification in Learning Design, Education, Digital Learning or similar (or equivalent experience)
