Responsibilities

  • • Support learners through their qualification journey, providing clear, structured, and actionable feedback
  • • Assess learner work and track progress against programme requirements
  • • Deliver guidance on assessment processes across both online and classroom settings
  • • Conduct Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) to ensure consistency, compliance, and high standards
  • • Mentor and support assessors, promoting best practice and standardisation
  • • Manage your caseload effectively, meeting deadlines and quality expectations
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment materials and processes
  • • Identify and address any issues relating to plagiarism or malpractice
  • • Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to enhance learning quality

Skills and experience

  • • Experience assessing or supporting learners in a professional or technical environment
  • • Experience delivering structured, constructive feedback
  • • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel
  • • Experience working with regulated qualifications or awarding bodies is desirable
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • • Strong attention to detail
  • • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • • Proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • • Confident stakeholder engagement and relationship-building
  • • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge

Education

  • • Level 4 qualification in Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
