An exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Manager to shape and deliver impactful learning strategies within a growing organisation. This role focuses on building future capabilities, developing clear career pathways, leading apprenticeship programmes, and embedding a strong learning culture across the business. You will design and deliver engaging programmes, partner with stakeholders across functions, and play a key role in succession planning and talent development.

Responsibilities
- Design and deliver training programmes to address capability gaps across the organisation.
- Lead and expand the apprenticeship programme, ensuring alignment with operational needs and industry standards.
- Develop clear career and development pathways from entry level through to senior leadership.
- Implement and manage a skills matrix to track progression and identify opportunities for growth.
- Deliver leadership and people-management training for both emerging and established leaders.
- Support succession planning and nurture talent pipelines across the business.
- Oversee the delivery of blended learning solutions (on-the-job, classroom, and digital).
- Champion digital learning tools and manage the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensure compliance training requirements are met and manage L&D trainers to deliver legally compliant learning.
- Partner with operational and people teams to promote and embed a learning culture across the business.
Skills
- Strong design and facilitation skills across multiple learning formats.
- Ability to build development frameworks and progression pathways.
- Skilled in using and promoting digital learning tools and LMS platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Organisational and project management skills to deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Experience
- 2-3 years experience in an LD Manager role or similar.
- Experience leading apprenticeship programmes and working with industry standards.
- Track record in designing and implementing learning frameworks, including skills matrices and career pathways.
- Experience delivering leadership and management development programmes.
- Previous experience managing compliance training and digital learning platforms.
- Demonstrated success in embedding a learning culture and supporting succession planning.
Education
- Relevant LD or HR qualification CIPD, Learning Development certifications, or equivalent preferred.
- Coaching or facilitation qualifications are advantageous.
