Digital Learning & Learning Technologies Manager

£55K-£60K Basic Salary

A brilliant opportunity to lead the digital learning and technical support strategy for an internal Learning Academy, ensuring all learning technologies, systems and digital content effectively support organisational development. The position is responsible for managing the Learning Management System (LMS), developing engaging digital and blended learning content, and overseeing processes, reporting and systems that underpin all training and development activity. The role also manages a small support function and works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of learning across the business.This role is a hybrid role with 3 days in London and 2 days from home (travel is discounted).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organisation’s digital learning and technical strategy, aligning with the wider L&D roadmap.
  • Act as subject matter expert for all learning systems, overseeing their development, maintenance and optimisation.
  • Create and manage digital and blended learning content, including e-learning, videos and AI-driven learning tools.
  • Lead digital transformation of learning programmes, supporting trainers to deliver blended solutions.
  • Oversee all processes, policies and procedures relating to learning, development and engagement.
  • Manage LMS administration, technical performance, security and user support.
  • Produce reports and dashboards, ensuring effective use of learning data and analytics.
  • Support budget management, including purchase orders, tracking spend and maintaining supplier contracts.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Line-manage a Learning Coordinator

Skills

  • Strong expertise in digital learning and blended programme development.
  • Proven ability to develop digital content and transform classroom training into blended solutions.
  • Confident in using AI to enhance learning content, delivery and assessment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, consulting and influencing skills.
  • Able to build rapport and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to perform well under pressure or change.

Experience

  • Significant experience within LD, particularly digital learning and blended programme design.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and optimising LMS platforms.
  • Background in developing digital content, including e-learning, video and AI-enabled tools.
  • Experience managing learning processes, policies and reporting.
  • Proven stakeholder and supplier management experience.
  • Experience supporting budget management and procurement activities.
  • Line management or team leadership experience is desirable.

Education

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent LD qualification preferred.
  • Digital learning or instructional design qualifications are desirable.
  • Project management training is beneficial.
