Senior People Development and Culture Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior People Development & Culture Manager to lead learning, leadership development and culture activity across a fast-paced, international organisation. This is a hands-on role, combining strategic thinking with practical delivery and close partnership with senior leaders. You will identify capability needs, design and facilitate development programmes, support talent and succession activity, and lead initiatives across performance, employee experience and culture. You will also manage specialist team members and contribute to wider organisational change and people priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the organisation’s learning and people development approach in line with business priorities.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify capability needs and deliver targeted learning solutions.
  • Design and facilitate leadership and management development for audiences at all levels.
  • Support talent management, succession planning, career development and performance review activity.
  • Lead culture and employee experience initiatives, including onboarding, engagement and company-wide events.
  • Support EDI, wellbeing and early careers programmes. Oversee mandatory learning, LMS administration, reporting and evaluation of learning impact.
  • Support organisational and technology-led change, including development of AI-related skills and behaviours. Line manage a small team of People, Culture and AI Change specialists
  • Support selected international events where required.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, People Development or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering learning programmes, workshops and face-to-face training.
  • Proven experience developing leadership and line management capability.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with senior leaders.
  • Experience across performance management, talent development, succession planning or career frameworks.
  • Exposure to culture, engagement, employee experience, EDI or organisational development.
  • Previous line management experience within L&D, People or Change.
  • Experience using learning technologies and LMS platforms.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to move between strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
  • Experience in sport, events, media, technology or another fast-moving international environment would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to digital transformation or AI-enabled change would be beneficial.

Education

  • Degree educated preferred
