A worldwide provider of software and services to the Defence and Aerospace industries is now seeking a number of Senior Software Developers. The role includes all technical tasks related to maintaining and updating product software as well as taking on leadership responsibility for junior staff. This role is responsible for the design of enhancements and solutions, development, maintenance and support of software products. This position can be based remotely in the UK with site visits globally required occasionally.

Responsibilities
- Mentor and train junior developers by providing guidance.
- Explain various aspects software methodology to junior developers.
- Provide guidance documents.
- Conduct all aspects of software development.
- Evaluating customer problems and enhancement requirements.
- Complete estimates and designs.
- Conduct design reviews.
- Complete code packages and prepare for various test phases.
- Write test documents and release notes.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Assist with trouble shooting product issues and data related problems.
- Support clients with scripts and/or technical knowledge.
Skills
- The Design and implementation of solutions and enhancements for desktop and web applications
- Gathering of requirements
- Creation of libraries and components in .NET / .NETCore JavaScript
- Develop applications using .NET /.NETCore technologies and Windows environment
- Completion of designs and prototypes
- Database design
- Creation of installers
- Provide technical documentation of solutions
- The use of software development tools and services
- Agile – Scrum software development methodology
- MS DevOps
- MS SQL
- .Net framework/.Net core/C#
- Visual Studio
- Code development standards
Experience
- Software development experience, particularly in MS-SQL environments.
Education
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field preferred but not essential
Qualifications
- Software development experience, particularly in MS-SQL environments.
