Digital Learning Developer

Up to £29K Basic Salary + Benefits

Location West Midlands, with 1-2 days remote and travel to other sites 2-3 days per month

Our client is a dynamic, forward thinking business who are committed to improving local services for the public.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative Learning Designer to design blended learning content for both internal employees and to sell to external partners. Your focus will be on scoping the learning needs with clients, conducting TNA for internal employees, storyboarding and scripting, liaising with SME’s and developing the content using authoring tools.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal employees to develop a roadmap for digital course delivery
  • Travelling to other sites 2-3 days per month
  • Understand business goals and translate these into blended learning solutions
  • Design and deliver learning content related to IT systems e.g. Totara, Docebo, Learningpool
  • Communicate with key stakeholders through the full project life cycle
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and emerging trends
  • Work closely with the wider L&D team to constantly develop new approaches to learning solutions
  • Incorporate multimedia and mobile technologies as part of a blended approach

Qualifications

  • Digital/Online Learning Qualification is desirable
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent

Education

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent e.g. CIPD qualification

Experience

  • Experience working in an agile environment is essential
  • Previous experience managing the development of digital projects from inception through to launch
  • One to two years’ experience in Instructional Design and Development
  • Demonstrable experience using MS Office products, including SharePoint and Dynamics
  • Open to learning new things e.g. graphic design, animation, video and audio editing
  • Experience working on multiple live projects at one time

  • Able to deliver projects on time and against budget
  • Keen problem solver
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Skilled in the use of a range of authoring tools e.g. Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate
