Our client is a highly successful global provider of innovative, blended learning solutions and learning platforms (LXP, LMS) with a well-established and enviable client base. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and executing sales strategies within highly regulated sectors across the UK and Europe. Experience of selling L&D solutions (including digital) into sectors such as Finance, Aviation and Pharmaceuticals is essential.

  • Prospecting for and identifying new opportunities within both prospect accounts (70%) and existing clients (30%) across the UK and Europe
  • Consulting with senior stakeholders in clients and prospects to identify their challenges and demonstrate how the range of learning solutions will meet their needs
  • Working with senior internal colleagues to define the future direction of the bespoke digital, virtual learning and learning platform business
  • Achieving personal revenue targets (Typically £450K to £650K per annum)
  • Keeping abreast of developments within L&D and learning technologies to apply the latest thinking in relation to effective learning solutions and strategies
  • Presenting both existing and forthcoming learning solutions to prospective and existing clients
  • Utilise existing contacts within the (L&D) industry and other relevant areas, to develop new business
  • Producing and analysing sales and account mapping reports to make well informed decisions


  • Self-motivated with an interest in personal development
  • Ability to work autonomously to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and strong organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A growth mindset, not afraid to take risks
  • Good proposal writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, at a fast pace and to tight deadlines


  • Several years of experience in a business development role, within digital learning or learning technologies
  • Experience of selling LD solutions including digital into sectors such as Finance, Aviation and Pharmaceuticals is essential.
  • Achievement of personal sales targets Minimum 400K per annum
  • Ability to win complex digital learning and learning tech deals AOV 50K to 100K
  • Proven track record of success in building internal and external relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of digital transformation within the LD arena


  • A degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or similar subject is an advantage


Any sales or marketing related qualification is beneficial
