Our client is a multi-award-winning business that supplies modern, sophisticated, web-based software to a wide variety of clients around the world. They pride themselves on product design and the positive difference that it makes to their clients lives. As Commercial Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling their LMS/LXP offering to the private sector. You’ll be selling to a wide range of business types, growing your own pipeline, researching the market, and hunting down new opportunities. You will have both the influence and autonomy to shape the role to suit your style. This role is home based if preferred, with office meetings once or twice a month and customer site visits occasionally.

Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads using a range of channels (e.g. Hubspot)
- Achieve personal sales targets (Circa £200K-£300K per annum)
- Cross-sell and upsell other offerings e.g. consultancy, IT support
- Drive adoption of the product and ensure customers see value. You’ll ‘own’ the customer for a short time after bringing them on board
- Mapping new businesses opportunities and identifying key influencers and decision makers
- Own the full sales cycle from arranging demos, to negotiating terms, to signing contracts.
- Manage and accurately report on sales pipeline
- Implement processes to streamline and automate workflows
- Create reports on sales, budgets, customer satisfaction and forecasts and adjust strategies accordingly
Skills

• Excellent organisational skills and impeccable attention to detail
• Demonstrable aptitude in effective negotiating
• Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques

• Ability to qualify leads and recommend the best solution for their needs
Experience
- Previous experience within a business development focused sales role
- Proven track record of achieving personal sales targets in the region of 250k a year
- Previous experience selling digital learning andor learning platform LXP, LMS solutions
- Demonstrable experience using and updating CRM systems for recording sales activities and reporting functions.
Education
- Educated to degree level or equivalent is beneficial
Qualifications
Any degree or equivalent education is an advantage.
