Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity with superb long term career prospects for an ambitious and entrepreneurial sales professional. Our client is a fast growing, international provider of unique L&D related qualifications and services seeking a consultative salesperson to engage with and sell to senior L&D/HR stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business in line with target objectives and revenues
  • Leverage existing client success stories effectively to attract new logos
  • Achieve personal sales targets and related KPI’s
  • Identify and engage with senior L&D, HR stakeholders
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Understand and analyse learning requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Write compelling and commercially viable sales proposals
  • Effectively utilise sales tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns
  • Accurately forecast sales and build sales pipeline
  • Attend relevant industry events and conferences
  • Host and participate in industry webinars

Skills

  • A good understanding of proactive, consultative selling
  • Ability to measure own performance using sales pipelines, metrics and forecasts
  • Self-motivated, ambitious and results driven
  • Strong questioning and rapport building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to write and review sales proposals with some experience of bid and tender processes
  • IT literate and numerically sound

Experience

  • A proven track record of commercial B2B sales achievement within the LD arena
  • Attainment of at least 500K per annum in personal sales targets
  • Experience of winning and growing accounts

Education

  • Degree or equivalent level is beneficial.
