Commercial Partnerships Executive - Hybrid

Our client is responsible for regulation, education and development of the financial services profession. The Commercial Partnerships team are responsible for generating income through the development of strategic partnerships with external organisations. The Commercial Partnerships Manager will be responsible for proposing activity that would provide mutual benefit, by designing annual strategic marketing campaigns with the client and liaising with internal technical managers to align the topic. These partnerships may include the following: Bespoke events (round tables, workshops), existing events, webinars, digital and print advertising, publications, press exposure and research all collated together in a partnership package. The Commercial Partnerships team consists of Business Development and Account Management and is supported by business operations and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities through new client partnering and growth.
  • Generate a set revenue target through partnering as well as owning budgets and P&Ls.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Partnerships Account Management team on delivery of your customers program.
  • Understand our clients strategic objectives and that of their members. 
  • To gain detailed understanding of the customers marketing and strategic objectives and to work with them in partnership.
  • Set and maintain the quality of sales proposals and negotiation tactics including pricing strategy in accordance with guidelines set by the Head of Commercial Partnerships.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and develop new commercial opportunities and lead negotiations and co-ordinate activities in order to produce commercially viable propositions and plans.
  • Develop new relationships with potential partners, making the best use of market intelligence, understanding their business and marketing objectives and matching these to our clients plans.
  • Take part in cross departmental project/BD teams where appropriate.

The successful candidate will be interested in business and finance with a drive to generate and execute new ideas, develop propositions, build relationship and become a leading expert in this sector. You will be curious to know what the next opportunity is, will scan the news to find a commercial angle, will see opportunity in regulation, and will be an outstanding networker.

Experience

  • Good academic background.
  • Previous consultative sales experience.
  • Experience working and interacting with C-Suite professionals.
  • Interest or experience in business and finance is beneficial to understand complex issues and spot opportunities.
  • Proven projecttime management skills.
  • Good interpersonalinfluencing skills.
  • Demonstrable commercial experience including marketing strategy and planning.
  • Willing to work well as part of a team, with a flexible, can do attitude.
  • Good IT skills.

Education

  • BABSc Degree or equivalent experience
