Business Development Director - Leadership, Culture Change

£60K-£70K Basic Salary + £100K OTE

An exciting opportunity with a well-established provider of cultural change and leadership L&D solutions seeking a Business Development Director to grow revenues and hold responsibility for the sales and marketing strategy. The role will hold a personal and team sales quota that will involve close collaboration with and management of a Sales Development Executive (lead generation) as well as the marketing function.This is a hybrid role, working 1-2 days a week in the office located in the North West.

Responsibilities

  • Achievement of agree revenue and profit targets
  • Creation and implementation of a coherent business growth strategy that aligns with a sales and marketing plan
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing systems and processes
  • Ensure success in both growing existing accounts and increasing new business
  • Develop and improve the value proposition and collaborate to produce insightful content that will elevate the brand
  • As part of the Executive team, build a solid foundation of systems and processes to attract, grow, and develop a dynamic team of committed people that can grow a valuable business.
  • Manage the pipeline, forecasts and sales across strategic accounts and prioritise market segments across both private and public sectors
  • Raise the profile of the business at industry events, seminars, webinars etc.
  • Help to inform the innovation and product development process via client exploration and feedback (e.g. VOTC).

Skills

  • Excellent rapport and client relationship building skills
  • Self-driven and ambitious with the desire to play a pivotal part in a company’s successful growth
  • Proven ability to focus on commercial outcomes that align with client objectives and success
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor less experienced members of the sales team
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging sales tools, methodologies, and go-to-market approaches.
  • Possessing gravitas, with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Good understanding of the L&D marketplace in relation to leadership and culture change programmes (e.g. drivers, competitors, trends etc.)
 

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years experience selling leadership, cultural change or related LD training andor consultancy
  • Proven success in outbound sales prospecting, building and maintaining accurate sales pipelines through effective use of telephone, email, and social channels
  • Formal or informal sales leadership experience
  • Experience selling complex LD services and solutions up to C level and to various influencers and stakeholders during the sales cycle
  • Proven ability to achieve personal sales targets in excess of 500K per annum

Education

  • A degree or equivalent in business, management, psychology, organisational development or similar field would be an advantage.
