An exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in mapping out and implementing a business transformation journey, improving how an innovative and growing provider of professional learning solutions and consultancy services engages with it’s clients and learners. To help achieve the company’s exciting objectives for further growth they are embarking on a digital transformation journey and seeking an experienced Chief Technical Officer to help them assess, design and develop a strategic roadmap for the business.

Responsibilities
- Evolve and deliver the IT/Technology strategy and development roadmap, being responsible for the technology enablement and digital transformation journey
- Notice opportunities for future development and enhancements in regard to technology
- Advance forward new platform ambitions and service offerings
- Provide management and maintenance of GDPR compliance certifications when necessary
- Conduct the design and personalisation of platforms and technological systems to strengthen customers experiences
- Establish secure working relationships with third-party suppliers
- Oversee, resource, and lead the business systems/technology team to support longstanding ambition, and company security
- Evaluate the value, costs, and hazards of information technology to suggest management and to then be accountable for implementation and control of cost amounts
- Mature and manage technology budgets and time frames, and approve purchases of technological equipment and software
- Lead the approach to leveraging data and information across the company

- Strong communication skills with multiple stakeholders

- Thrives under pressure
- Adept at both tactical ‘hands on’ implementation and strategic thinking
Experience
- Several years experience in a similar technical environment
- IT Business strategy experience
- Experience within the learning technologies sector is beneficial
- Experience of delivering a strategic ITTechnology roadmap
Education
- Technology based degree level or equivalent is an advantage
Qualifications
- Certifications in relevant technical areas are desirable
